Bruins Dominate Jackets

Bruins 5, Blue Jackets 3

Columbus blew an early two-goal advantage when the defending Stanley Cup champions scored a pair of late-period goals to tie the game.
The Bruins then took the lead in the first minute of the second period with a power play goal. It was the first of their three goals on the man advantage.
R.J. Umberger knotted the game at 3-3 heading into the final twenty minutes of play, but Columbus could not hold of Boston’s last surge. Fueled by a couple third-period goals, the Bruins pulled off the comeback victory in Nationwide Arena.
Rick Nash and Jeff Carter also scored for the Blue Jackets. Joe Corvo picked up his first two goals of the season for the Bruins.
In the contest, winger Derek Dorsett crashed awkwardly into the boards after a collision with Boston goalie Tim Thomas. Dorsett left the ice and did not return. He is listed as day-to-day with a lower-body injury.
